Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant
Schedule: 12:30-hour shifts (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM).
Duration: 14-week contract position
Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to join our Long Term Care Center team. The CNA will be responsible for providing direct patient care and assistance under the supervision of licensed nursing staff. The ideal candidate should possess strong communication skills, empathy, and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our residents.
Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents.
- Assist in the implementation of care plans and contribute to resident assessments.
- Help maintain a clean and safe environment for residents.
- Assist in transferring and positioning residents as needed.
- Respond promptly to resident needs and emergency situations.
Requirements:
- Current certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA).
- Basic understanding of medical terminology and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Compassionate and patient-focused approach to care.
- Basic computer skills for recordkeeping and documentation.
- Physical ability to lift, move, and assist residents as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in long-term care or a similar healthcare setting.
- CPR certification.
- Knowledge of infection control protocols.
Working Conditions:
The position involves working shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. The CNA may need to lift and move residents, stand for extended periods, and work in a fast-paced environment.
