Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist

Schedule: 8.30-hour shifts (8:00 AM to 4:30 PM).

Duration: 13-week contract position

Summary: Join our dynamic rehabilitation team as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Gallup, NM. As an integral member of our interdisciplinary healthcare team, you will play a key role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in our diverse patient population.

Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct comprehensive assessments to diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.
  2. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  3. Provide therapeutic interventions to improve communication skills, articulation, language fluency, and swallowing function.
  4. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists, to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care.
  5. Educate patients and their families on effective communication strategies and home exercises to support the treatment plan.
  6. Document patient progress, maintain accurate records, and communicate effectively with the healthcare team.
  7. Stay abreast of advancements in speech-language pathology through continued professional development and training.
  8. Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and contribute to the development of rehabilitation programs.

Qualifications:

  1. Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  2. Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
  3. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred.
  4. Previous experience in a rehabilitation or healthcare setting is desirable.
  5. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  6. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  7. Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
