Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Shift: 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
Job Summary: As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you will provide essential nursing care under the direction and supervision of registered nurses or physicians. Your primary responsibility is to ensure the comfort, safety, and well-being of patients while assisting with various healthcare tasks and treatments.
Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Administer basic medical care, including monitoring vital signs, dressing wounds, and assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs).
- Medication Administration: Administer medications and injections as prescribed by healthcare professionals, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation.
- Health Monitoring: Observe and record patients’ health conditions, noting any changes or concerns, and report to the supervising nurse or physician.
- Treatment Support: Assist with medical procedures and treatments, such as wound care, catheterization, and specimen collection.
- Patient Education: Provide patients and their families with health education, instructions, and support to manage their conditions effectively.
- Medical Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, charts, and reports.
- Infection Control: Follow established infection control protocols to maintain a safe and sanitary environment for patients and staff.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other healthcare team members to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly and effectively to medical emergencies, providing immediate care as needed.
- Adherence to Regulations: Follow all nursing and healthcare regulations, standards, and ethical guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) program.
- Valid LPN license issued by the state or country regulatory authority.
- Knowledge of basic nursing principles and medical terminology.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective patient interaction.
- Compassion, empathy, and a caring demeanor.
- Ability to handle stressful situations and maintain composure in emergencies.
- Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift and move patients with proper techniques and equipment.
